Posted money and stock entries are append-only at the database layer — the database itself refuses edits and deletes, so corrections are posted forward as new entries. Every general-ledger entry is cryptographically linked to the one before it, and an automated job walks the whole chain and raises a critical alert if a single link breaks.
Every hard-won fix is recorded in a fingerprinted witness manifest. If a later change silently undoes one, the verification run flags the regression automatically.
